After working in the fashion industry for over 20 years, Michelle Carmichael-Whyte decided to start MCW Designs in Shell Cove NSW, where she found that there was a market for her unique talent here in the Illawarra. The South Coast needed someone who could design and manufacture affordable and unique gowns for the local bride, without having to travel to Sydney for fittings, which is time consuming and costly.
Michelle prides herself on providing her brides with a one on one service, to design a gown which reflects the brides personality. Listening to their initial inspirations, she uses her innate ability to combine beautiful fabrics and laces with beading, or embroideries. Michelle can create a gown that is totally instep with the modern & stylish woman of today.
Each gown, started from scratch, is designed and fitted personally for each bride, to achieve an impeccable fit & shape that is required. The whole process of making the gown, takes four to five fittings, which allows for adjustments that can be made along the way. You are involved in the creation process as we go.
